Coming to the menu Jan. 9, the bowl features fresh veggies on a bed of spinach, rice and black beans, with crispy tofu and housemade spicy Sunset Sauce, salsa, cilantro, and fresh sliced avocado. The Sunset Sauce is a non-dairy dressing handmade from sunrise to sunset. The dressing is made with delivered-daily produce of tomatoes, jalapeños, garlic, fresh-squeezed lime juice, and a signature combination of spices, which are blended until smooth. The bowl retails starting at $10.19.

“Our Chef’s Bowls have always been a popular menu item, and we wanted to expand our offerings for guests interested in a vegan protein by adding tofu to the menu,” said Robert Phillips, President and Chairman of California Tortilla. “Not only is it packed with flavor, but the crispy tofu option is just in time for the new year, when diners may be experimenting with substituting vegetarian or vegan options into their diet.”
