We are California Tortilla and we are Mexican Re-Imagined. From the ingredients to the preparation to customer service, we’ve transformed a “quick bite” into a mouth-watering, crave-inducing, “I can’t wait to come back” experience.

California Tortilla is a unique fast casual restaurant that serves “California style” Mexican food. We focus on one aspect that many other Fast Casuals continue to ignore; quality. We source the best ingredients from local farm to table purveyors. We use only premium proteins and our salsa, guacamole, queso and sauces are made fresh daily and are never frozen. In fact, there’s no freezer on site at all. Our menu is Chef-Inspired, and while we cater to individual customer needs, we offer bold and exciting flavor profiles in our signature products. Perhaps most importantly, guests aren’t a number at Cal Tort. They are individuals… people that we really like and want to see again and again.

Our Chef-Inspired Creations blend flavors from around the world with the best of Mexican. At Cal Tort, you’ll find addictive combinations like Honey Lime, Korean BBQ and our signature California Screamin’. And just in case you’re looking to turn up the heat on your favorite dish, Cal Tort is home to the Wall of Flame with 75 hot sauces.

EXCELLENT UNIT ECONOMICS

The initial investment range for California Tortilla is $413k to $709k. Actual costs will be determined largely by the type and condition of the real estate and the particular market you are in. Accordingly, our financial requirements are based on the availability of $250K in liquid capital, $1M net worth and a high credit score.

This is by far my fave place. The food is consistent and tastes great. I love the wall of flame sauce wall. The staff is incredibly friendly and always on point. The best quick food in the area with a kick!!! Great food, super nice staff, good parking, fun and relaxed atmosphere, great soda selection, awesome sauces, good prices. End up picking here over our next fave place most weekends 🙂

Robert (Bob) Phillips has been Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and Treasurer since our inception in 2003. Bob has a long and accomplished career in restaurant ownership and management, with brands such as Everything Yogurt, Broadway Pizza and Ranch 1.

Keith Goldman has been our Chief Operating Officer since 2011, our Vice President from 2003-2011, and our Secretary and Director since 2003. Keith got his start in the restaurant industry at 14 and became a Chef before owning and operating a Bed and Breakfast in NY and a Ranch 1 franchise.
